Animate Kawasaki is a popular store among anime fans in Kanagawa Prefecture. Inside the store, a variety of official goods from major works such as "My Hero Academia," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "ONE PIECE," "NARUTO," and "Haikyu!!" from Weekly Shonen Jump are primarily sold. Additionally, the store offers a wide selection of manga, games, and anime DVDs targeted at Japanese consumers, leading to crowded conditions, especially among local anime fans. Upon visiting, one may notice that Animate Kawasaki seems to have a larger assortment of magazines and manga compared to character goods. Unlike other larger Animate stores, the floor space here is smaller, with shelves tightly packed. Perhaps due to the limited space, the variety of products is not as extensive as in other Animate locations. It's common to see long lines at the cashier with Japanese anime fans waiting to purchase items, resulting in longer wait times. For those seeking a wider selection of anime goods and a more comfortable shopping experience, it is recommended to visit Animate Yokohama.

Animate Kawasaki is located inside the commercial building Muza Kawasaki, about a 5-minute walk from the west exit of JR Kawasaki Station. To get to Muza Kawasaki, you can follow the pedestrian bridge from Kawasaki Station, which leads directly there. This Animate is one of the few stores in Kanagawa Prefecture that deals with anime goods, with its customer base primarily consisting of local youths, especially female students. Compared to Animate stores in Tokyo or Animate Yokohama, the store's floor space is smaller, catering mainly to Japanese anime fans. If you have a moderate understanding of Japanese and are looking for Japanese manga, visiting this store would be a good idea. However, if you're looking to purchase character goods from well-known anime series, it's advisable to visit other larger Animate stores.
