It is a good place to look for official character goods from major anime series, but for those seeking Japanese doujinshi or niche manga, visiting other stores is recommended.
Animate Hachioji is located about a 3-minute walk from the north exit of JR Hachioji Station. Although the distance from the station to the store is short, it is located on the third floor of an old tenant building, making it difficult to find if you are not paying attention. The exterior of the store prominently displays the Animate logo, but if you are not looking up, you might pass by the store.
